Collings Mountain ride
This loop works better in the CW direction, but there will likely be some pushing involved no matter which way you choose. Going CCW you will almost certainly be pushing, but then you will be rewarded with a longer descent. Either way the downhills are scary fast and well worth the effort!
The route is 100% singletrack.
Driving directions:
Drive past the Applegate reservoir dam on Upper Applegate Road almost a mile and you will see Hart-Tish Park on your left. Drive another 100 yards or so and park on the shoulder just before the guardrail.
The ride:
For a CW ride go directly across the street and pick up the Da-Ku-Be-Te-De trail which runs north to south between the lake and the highway. Cross the highway again at Watkins Camp and pick up the Collings Mtn trail directly across the highway. For the reverse direction, well, you can figure that one out.
Note: The blue dashed line is the actual location of the trail, black dashed lines are the inaccurate guesses found on most maps.

Don't expect to see this much water unless you go in January!
