Starthistle Fly-in 2008

RVHPA's 32nd annual Starthistle fly-in at legendary Woodrat Mountain is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend, May 24th through the 26th.

You can save $10 by registering before May 15th.

Barbecue-Sunday May25th 6-8pm Cantrall Buckley Park, Raffle Follows.

First prize trophies will be awarded for each wing type (HG & PG) in the following categories:
Spot Landing
Bomb Drop Cross Country (furthest land-out from launch)
Duration (most time aloft in a single flight)

There will also be first prize trophies for the best men's and best women's costumes in keeping with the 'Chinese Year of the Rat' theme. Winners will be determined by popular decision at the BBQ on Sunday evening.

Camping at Cantrall Buckley Park will be on an individual registration basis. Check in at the Park Registration office, as soon as possible for best spots.

More campsites are available through the Applegate Store . The campsites are on the Applegate river, about 3 miles down river from Cantrall Buckley Park. There is a shower and restroom for the campers. They are limiting it to 20 campers. Cost is $10.00 a nite per person. To register with a credit card call the Applegate Store at (541) 846-6659.
